After graduating (from institutions including the Victorian College of the Arts), Sally spent 8 years in France and completed another Post Graduate degree at the Ecole d’art d’Avignon whilst regularly exhibiting in the United States, Australia and Europe. A self-confessed art addict, she has run an artists’ squat in an abandoned 17th century hospice, worked for the Festival d’Avignon theatre festival and for one of the most innovative private art collections in France before her return to Australia.

Though her portraits and landscapes can be found in the collections of the National Gallery of Victoria, Geelong Art Gallery and private collections in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States, her works position themselves somewhere outside contemporary art’s preoccupations – creating mysteriously fertile and painterly transformations of the archetypal.
