Sally Smart is widely known for her large-scale collage installations exploring the illusory and the uncanny. Her practice spans a range of media, including felt cut-outs, painted canvas, drawings, screen-printing, printed fabric and photography. Smart has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and internationally.

Smart’s work is held in a number of collections, including major state galleries in Australia and internationally (including London, New York and Frankfurt), and corporate and private collections.

Her dynamic artworks were recently selected by Italian fashion house Marni to animate their latest artist collaboration; a collection of clothing and accessories for women and men.
