Guided Tour: Lyon Housemuseum Galleries

Join us for a preview tour of the Lyon Housemuseum Galleries in Kew on Thursday, 5th May at 10am.

Opened in March 2019, the new Galleries sit adjacent to the original Lyon Housemuseum and offer a series of contemporary spaces which showcase the fertile and energetic nature of contemporary Australian art and design.

The Galleries’ new exhibition, Lyon Collection Exh. #5, Fusinato, Laing, Forthun, Crooks, presents a selection of works from the Lyon collection by Marco Fusinato, Rosemary Laing, Louise Forthun and Daniel Crooks, as well as some stunning recent acquisitions. Artists featured include several VCA Alumni, most notably 2018 VCA Access mentor, Sally Smart. Also on show is a work by Marco Fusinato, who will be representing Australia at this year’s Venice Biennale starting in a few weeks.

We will be guided through the current exhibition by Gallery and Museum manager Siobhan Sloper and conclude with morning tea in the onsite café. The tour has limited numbers, tickets are $25 + booking fee. Book via RSVP button.
